I do a combo with #11 and the computer assembly there. If the backlight doesn't work, I guess I could use the hazard and defroster buttons because mine kinda stick.

One of the reasons I've always wanted a parts car was so I'd have the opportunity to remove the window and drip rail trim without worrying about destroying anything. I have a full shadowline kit for Vlad and I've been procrastinating putting it on for fear of fucking something up in removing the old trim. Now I know exactly how it is affixed.













I only did the drivers' door. If someone wants all the chrome trim I'd be willing to pull the rest. It's in just "ok" shape; the chrome is starting to fade and oxidize. Will be a PITA to ship so be prepared to pay thru the nose if you really want it.

Your part of the states has good bmw donor cars. I am looking for a 5 speed swap for my 86 528e as my current automatic driveshaft seems to be going and i really miss manual. Do you know any leads on a swap perhaps? i read through maytags thread on what all is involved.

If you ever get a donor car with a 5 speed i would love the swap out of it.

The fusebox cover is broken and you totally pulled that trim off the wrong way. You have to pull the window guides out to use the clips properly and not fuck up the trim. You also have to disassemble the inside of the rear doors, or if you're parting a car, just break the window all the theives break. I have asked multiple people parting M5s to follow my simple instructions and not a single person did it.

I need the white worm gear at least or a whole assembled box in order to finish my interior off in the 535i project and button it up.

Edit: Also would be interested in the black ashtray/12v surround and vent piece. Somebody used mine to put out cigs

The recliner motor from power seat (right side).

The worm gear is in a white plastic housing where the cable enters the motor (if you've disassembled them you see there is a spring that causes it to shoot out). The white part is all I need but I'll buy an assembled motor if I need to.
