Highest Mileage on Original Timing Chain/Components?

Post by Cory »

Just wondering. Mine (Mike's really) is up to 167,000 and runs ridiculously well.
Thanks.

I've seen over 225k. At least replace the tensioner.

At 167K it would probably be prudent to refresh those components just for peace of mind.

I got 234,458 miles on mine before tear down and rebuild. Probably would have gone more miles. Just made a little noise at start up if I was parked on an incline..nose up.

193,750 miles. Not the highest mileage but original and my mechanic says they're in good shape. I even thought about getting a second opinion but realized that's a bit anal - even for a pilot.
