Autolite glow plugs

Anyone use them?

I had been using bosch but I see the autolites are $2 cheaper.

I ordered some, got them in,Autolite 1103, and they are an inch shorter than the bosch.
The Autolite 1104 is about the same length as the bosch with all the same specs.

I actually talked to an Autolite engineer and he said it is shorter to keep the tip out of the flame, therefore making it last longer.
Where as bosch is probably using a different material in the probe to protect it from the flame.

Any thoughts?

Any particular reason you are trying to save $12 instead of using the proper glow plugs??

So you are saying it is not the proper glow plug?

I have a couple cars and I also get a discount on autolite products.
If it works, why wouldn't I use them? hence the post to see if they work.

The Bosch plugs use inconel for the tip.

Just get Bosch Duraterms. Not much more money and they are tried and true.
