Oil filter housing

Oil filter housing

Does anyone know if the m106 oil filter housing (with the oil cooler conections) is a direct fit on the m30b35 block?
Just want to be 100% sure before trying it.

If it is the same that the M535i came with.....yes.

That is a yes, but. You need to plug a passage iirc.

You're correct, there's an extra passge in the B35 block which must be plugged to use the early style filter cannister. There's a BMW TIS about this.

or get the early m30b35 housing with the cooler connections, id post a pic of mine but my bandwidth has been murdered with my blower project pics of my e30, not sure what they came on in the rest of the world but the earliest e32 735s had them in the states, usually if it has the old style motor mount holes it probably has a cooler too
