2nd trip to the track
Had my car back at the track on Sunday. I didn't make any changes to the car, still running around 15-17 psi. The only thing I changed was doing my burnouts in second gear and doing the burnout for longer to get the slicks warmer. What a difference that made on the launch. The car hooked really good and I managed to run a best of 12.73 at 107 mph with a 60' of 1.73s. I will post time slips and the video tonight.
It felt awesome! I've never felt G forces like that in my life haha! I'm glad Todd is around......he's always got great advice. I can't believe how much difference it makes just from a burnout. My first run of the day was 13.12 at 108 mph. My dad told me to do a longer burnout, so I did and instantly ran a 12.8. 2nd gear burnouts are a must.

Anti lag is for cars that cannot provide sufficient load to spool a turbo at launch. Todd is absolutely right......they launch great. The chassis and engine combo work perfectly. There weren't many cars at the track that launched nicer and harder than my car, unless they were a full out race car and my car doesn't launch nearly as hard as Todd's.

I think I have a boost leak somewhere. I notice it on the street when it's boosting at anything under 3/4 throttle. The whistling noise disappears when I go full throttle though. You can hear it good during my burnouts on the 3rd and 4th passes. It's a whistling sound but it's not the BOV whistling sound. Can you guys notice it? I think over the winter I'll rig up a pressure testing set up to see if I can find it anywhere in my piping between the turbo and throttle body. I know it's somewhere between the throttle plate and turbo since it's only apparent when it's boosting at part throttle, which is when there is a large back pressure in the intercooler piping.

I cut a round peice of wood and put it right before the turbo with a tiny hole cut for the airtool on the air compressor. Tightened the wood into the intake tube with a hose clamp. Tested the system up to 40 psi that way, took less than 30 minutes from start of the project to finish. Very quick and easy way to test for boost leaks I have found. Hope you find the culprit, I have had issues with the chinese BOV's sealing. They seem to only have a single spring, whereas the name brand have more than one.
