Buried...

This was sent to me from my mom. Two solid snows, and my car is totally buried in the snow.


That's my dad, he's about 5'10".


Also, since I am back at school, I thought I'd update with my current ride and the plans I have for it.

Nothing special, a 1998 Honda Accord V6 Autospastic. FWD, so not a lot of fun in the snow and ice.
I want to paint the wheels a crazy color, like teal or green or purple or something like that. The safe bets are white, black or gold. But I want to kind of break out and do something different like some of the guys are doing at StanceWorks. Of course I won't be slamming mine anytime soon, I'd like to add an individual artsy pop to the car.
I'm looking into a small front lip to add a little sport. I will not become a ricer, and I will not put a farting soup can on the car. The most I would do is tint the headlights and taillights, paint the wheels, drop it, and add a lip kit.

Well, I didn't really have much of a choice on the car. But I do agree with Scott. It is a solid car. The only thing I don't really like about it is the automatic transmission. It a pretty fast car, and it handles well.
The car is in my hands, and I have time to waste. Why not waste some time on it?

2. School (unless you have a 4.0 and are breezing through classes.
3. Hobbies (snowboarding, golf, etc (you fill in the blank)).



I'm just worried that you are going into the whole "stanceworks" thing. I'm young as well, however I know enough to understand the first and biggest deal with stanceworks...is the stance (low, very low, unpractical low). Not colored wheels.

Just trying to warn you that you will receive a tremendous amount of flak (is that the word I want to use?) if you paint the wheels on a stock honda accord a different color.

I love the honda!! My GF daily drives a 2000 EX...V6 with a sunroof and all that jazz. I hope she buys a car soon, cuz that bitch will get SLAMMED. BTW, springs/wheels for a 4 lug honda are CHEAP.

That's a nice solid ride you have there but I would reconsider any sort of mods if I were you. Honda Accords are just not the platform for that sort of thing. A coworker of mine let her kid have her Acura 3.2 CL, i.e. a tarted up Accord, and he painted it some sort of ricer orange but left everything else stock including the wheels with all season tires and it has to be on of the dorkiest cars I've seen in a long time. If he had left it alone, it would have stood on its own for what it is, a near luxury sedan. As it stands now it's a hardcore loser cruiser extraordinaire. And her the kid wonders why he's never had a girlfriend. What a putz!

So, don't go down that path! If you think you ruined your E28 with a golden stripe, I suspect painting the wheels on a respectable but plain Accord will make that decision pale in comparison to the remorse you'll have with the Accord. Just my two cents of course.

I do well in school, I run track for the university. I socialize on the weekends and I'm in the outdoors club. I'm majoring in Graphic Design with a minor in Marketing, and trust me, that's no bullshit field. I'm repairing and rebuilding bicycles that people get from goodwill or salvation army for a small fee (if you'd consider that a job, because I can't seem to find a real job right now). I'm not saying I'm a loner that has too much time on my hands, I'm just saying I want to do something different, and I can take a saturday or sunday afternoon in the spring to work on the car. I'm just trying to do something different from the usual mods.

I never meant it as A Hunk of crap, I was just saying, why mess with time tuning it??? No matter what you do someone has already done it,and someone will end up stealing it.

I think they are great, if you leave them alone,and keep them stock.

I agree. Nothing wrong with a boring, stock, reliable, efficient, easy-to-fix daily driver. Save the fun for the E28. Or go crazy with a day-glo-painted cheap old bike, that's even cheaper and you'll probably have more fun with it.

Yeah, I understand the points being made, and I do respect your opinions, but I just can't handle a boring car bone dry car. I probably won't paint the wheels, if I do, I'll paint them black. But also, the worst that can happen is I take a risk and paint them myself, and if they look terrible, strip it off.

That is what the front lip would look like. Just a small trim addition, that I think adds a lot to the overall feel of the car.

I am one of those people who can't leave anything alone and is usually very picky about my automobile choice, thats why I bought a vehicle I think sucks and is pretty gay. Before winter struck I picked up a '06 Chevy Colorado 4x4 with a 5 speed and 4-banger. By owning a bland semi-reliable late model vehicle (that allows me to get out of my driveway in a snow storm) I have been able to relieve my beautiful e28 of the daily grind and keep it in my warm garage. This truck has been the best thing I ever bought for my e28 and it silently thanks me every day through these cold New Hampshire weekends. Moral of the story is just put gas in it and change the oil when needed and save the time and effort for the other much cooler car you have, or since you are in college beer and women.
