Diff Output Seal Question

Post by lmc337 »

Quick question -
Ordered new diff seals from autohausaz, but they won't get here till Friday... Wondering if the ones from advance auto are any major difference or reason to avoid??
autohausaz - http://www.autohausaz.com/search/produc ... 3131214100
Made by CRP - O'reilly and Advance have "National' brand.

Both Advance and O'reilly have the same seal.
Advance: http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp ... 1200293119___

O'Reilly: http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/searc ... vi=1012352

And what's with the redi-sleeve that O'reilly is showing, do I need that???

Thanks in advance (no pun intended...)!

Also - while I'm there, any good recommended product to clean and condition my CV boot rubber?

You don't need that Redi-Sleeve, whatever it is.

Clean and condition CV joint boots? You don't some fancy car show with mirrors on the ground?

So the Advance/O'Reilly seals are good enough?

and i was just thinking that it would be prudent to put some sort of conditioner on the boots to help them age appropriately with less risk of cracks!
