Just another drive down to Los Angeles

Post by pridE28 »

Except this time my rusted muffler gave way and dropped to the floor as I turned in for gas. At least the is what seems to have happened. It really is my fault as the muffler was obviously past due. I also noticed the hanger for the exhaust was snapped, something I should have checked before the drive. Anyway I jerry rigged the hangers and made the rest of the drive to LA without the muffler. Probably not the greatest idea in the world but I am just glad I made it without any further problems. I will try to get some pictures of the damage and my gas station jerry rig job later.
I know the topic has been discussed many times but if you have any opinions as to what exhaust to get as a replacement feel free to air your thoughts, they are always welcome.

If you plan to keep the car more than a few years, I'd opt for the stock unit - good flow, not too loud, and it will last.
