Interest / comments / M5 headers
Am interested in picking up some headers for my car -
My stock ones have cracked so I'm really looking... LOL
I am looking for options and opinions on the following :
We dont normally offer such discount on group buys, however If you can arrange a group buy of atleast 6 sets, we will discount each set by 25%. That means each set will be just USD$1350 instead of USD$1800/set. Unfortunately Australia post dont offer discounted postage on Airmail for over 20kg (each set is approx 9kg Gross). So the best we could do for express airmail would be USD$650 in total for all 6 sets sent together as one consignment to the one address. I have changed the ebay listing to include an available Quantity of 10 sets. If you are interested in this offer you will need to go to the buy it now while the listing remains, and allow me a few hours to ammend the invoice to include the discounts before proceeding with payment. However 6 sets+ must be purchased in order to receive this group buy discount.
This is the link that started me asking about M5 availability :

Anyone else interested?

So, did you already ask them about M5 headers and found that they offer them, just not in the Ebay listing? I'm a little confused. Honestly I'd be skeptical of spending that kind of money for an unproven product from overseas, but if they've got a good rep or have references, and you really want a set of headers it might be worth a shot. For that amount of money (well over a grand considering their M30 set will run $1040 shipped) you could buy a perfect set of used US headers and have them Jet-Hot coated with enough left for all new hardware, at least.
Just out of curiousity, have you checked the engine mounts? Unless you've got broken exhaust hangers too, a collapsed right engine mount will allow the headers to hit the frame and bear the engine's weight, which will crack them.

If it broke at the flex portion, which mine did, you can have it repaired on the car. Doug Park brought this fix to my attention. A good muffler shop can cut out the bad section and weld in a solid piece. Not as asthetically appealing as a set of headers, but an inexpensive (<$100) solution until you can source a good used set.
#1: I would not trust them.
They are using a photo of Paul LaDue's 525e with the B35 swap and the Ireland Engineering headers.
#2: If these are made in Australia, wouldn't that mean they'd be designed for a RHD car? Those pieces are really not the way to go on LHD cars. Why would they make LHD headers in a RHD country?
#3: Why not look into the M88 headers? Through Tischer BMW, you're looking at about $1700 new, but it's something that will definitely work and can be trusted.

Hi there,
I actually bought a set of these headers (M30B34) from this company in mid July 09 for my BMW 1986 535i Auto. I have to say that i was really impressed with them. The quality of the entire unit is far beyond what i expected. Arrived on my doorstep in under 1 week!! I still havent done any dyno tests, but it feels like it has given some extra ponies i was after. I still need some rear diff mounts, i might see if they stock them.
