Putting pics on?

Post by south26 »

Hi I have gone to the tutor page on how to load pics and it is not working. I put pics on line then I got the URL and went to post and clicked on IMG and then pasted, I then hit IMG and it did not work. Is there someone that can tell what stupid noob mistake I am making.

That's because you were posting a URL to a page, not a URL to a pic. THIS is the pic:

OK I got the right URL and it still did not work.

I did [img] then I add http://s678.photobucket.com/albums/vv14 ... G_0037.jpg

then I did [/img] and it did not work. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Try doing it from direct link. In Photobucket you choose the direct link and paste between img and /img

No, you did NOT get the right link. You are linking to a WEB PAGE, not an image. You are evidently clicking in the URL bar and assuming that because it ends with ".jpg" that it's a URL for a picture, but it should be obvious that you're displaying a web page when you copy it; the URL is saying "display this image on this page." You need the URL of the image, not the URL of the web page displaying the image. In Firefox/SeaMonkey/Netscape, right-click the pic and select "view image" and then copy that URL. I dunno how to do it in IE.
