That is super sweet! Is that a custom casting? What are your power or torque goals?
Posted: Apr 04, 2009 4:04 AM
by DieselBoost
intake flows 272 in 13.5mm lift, in 13mm lift 260 and 11mm lift 228.
exhaust flows in 11mm lift 133 and 13mm lift 133.
intake valve is 38mm (stock 35mm)
exhaust valve is 34mm (stock 31mm)
these measurements are done with non turbo use sucktion flowing meter.
so in turbo use it flows much better
valves are bigger than original and exhaust seats are 2mm bigger too.
valves are stainless steel.

Dear Dieselboost,
looks like a nice project. I have just restart my E28 524 again.
What is your goal for hp and torque, my one has 200hp and 380Nm in the actual setup, still using a 10mm hp plunger in the injection pump. I have also work on the cylinder head but use stock valves. With your 12mm injection pump and the bigges valves you should be able to to make 250hp+.
Here are some pics from my car, i have build a similar intake like yours, but designed as dual plenum intake. Did you think about using a NA intake as basis, this should flow much better than our strange designed turbo intake. I have allready bought a NA intake, but work in my golf mk1 in the moment, so this evolution has to wait a while.

Good look for your project, i will keep my eyes here.

i will post new pics when my head gasket and bolt operation is ready
i hope we can get over 300bhp and 600nm

Dear Dieselboost,
huge numbers but with the 12mm plunger realistic in my eyes.
What type of headgasket will you use? I have a custom mls headgasket, from thailand, which is available in every thickness you wand. If you wand the contact, please contact me. Becuase i have send my stock gasket as template, you can bus just as a stock gasket.
I can also give you a contact for ARP bolts, if you not allready have some.
Best Regards, Alleslowbuged
I would be very happy to see 300hp in your car, would be a good goal for me.

base head gasket is custom made by one local group, and those separated copper sealing rings (i dont know the english word)
and half-inch thick head bolts in block (original 11mm)
