Rant! Who in the hell invented Drum brakes? Uuugh!

Just did the rear drums on my wife's Suburban. It's been a while since I have done them or even seen some. Good God! It's as if someone was just making it up as they went.

I guess the drum brake has been around a while the Conestoga wagons had em. Front only maybe.

It's amazing to me that you can buy a car today with them! How much cheaper can they be than discs? Doesn't seem like they would be with so many more parts to them.

shade tree advice. pull the drums. but work on 1 side at a time. when replacing the shoes and hardware. cheesy arent they? Never been really any good at adjusting the damn things myself.
