Selling 1987 E28 Sanfrancisco

Post by dokgodie »

I recently had accident with my dad's beloved 1987 E28. It was minor accident but it ripped front bumper off. My dad is going to junk this car but I feel terrible. This car is in top condition both exterior and interior , it have been garage kept ever since we had it. Also we recently put brand new transmission for 2 grand.

We have both original and what seems like 1987 M5 wheels. Both of them are like new with no side burns.

Car has 170k Miles but runs really great. We rarely use it Anyway.

I am posting here because I hate to see the beautiful car being wrecked. We had insurance but we didn't have the plan for fixing our car since car was 20+years old.

There is nothing wrong with car except there is no bumper.

We are thinking of $1200-$1500 with all the wheels included.

I will send photos for who ever is interested. Once you see the condition of the car you guys will understand why I am posting this.

[email protected]

I just hope someone with body work can buy it and restore it..

I got 2 weeks people and car goes straight to junkshop!!!!

I tried to insert few photos which I used for claiming insurance. But there is no upload option. Some one explain to me.

Edit: Car is metallic gray or gray. Interior is Black. Everything is original except sony satellite radio/cd media player.

Hello, if you are interested in selling your car here you need to know that this isn't just a loosy goosy forum where no one knows anyone. We (unlike other forums) are a tight knit family of hard core enthusiasts. Most of us have been involved with BMWs for more than 20 years and a great deal of us own more than 1 BMW.

I am just trying to help you out here as I see that this is your one and only post....which is fine and we welcome any and all enthusiasts to our forum, but if your intention is to sell your car (or your dad's car) please respond to your emails that have been sent. Whether or not I buy the car or someone else here does, it would behoove you to follow through.

No anger or ill feelings here, I am just trying to help. There are many here among us that will flame you beyond belief....I am not one of them.
