Vacation

Post by e281985 »

So, Im on my semi annual trip to Rehoboth Beach, DE. On the way here we always stop in D.C. for a day or two. In D.C. I was in BMW heaven. I saw my first 3.0 CS in person which was gorgeous. I saw a run down light, dark and pale blue E12 just sitting in a driveway and then I saw an E30 which Alpina badges..? It was in iffy condition and was burning ALOT of oil, but I wondered if this could have been a real Alpina. The logo where the BMW roundel usually is was warn and looked like it could have been from the 80's but I didn't really buy it, I will post a picture when I get home. Yet another BMW sighting I have had was tonight on HW 1, I was getting into my car after dinner and a very nice looking grey E28 flew by, is this anyone? I will be keeping my eye out for it the rest of the week. Also, just as a side note, a guy down the street from me builds Shelby Cobra replicas, and keeps some of them, and as of now he has a red one with white stripes and... a big block that he build from the ground up. Upwards of 600 hp and lbs/ft. Didn't have my camera with me and he was just getting back from a cruise so I wasn't going to have him wait to get my camera, but If he is around again I will get some pictures to show you guys.
