The Mods:
1. Dinan stage 3 suspension i.e., Strut tower brace, springs, sway bars, i believe the bilstein sports are valved by dinan, camber plates.
2. Nice cold air intake with K&N cone
3. Conforti chip
4. e34 M5 front calipers and rotors
5. e21 7 series rear brakes
6. Recaro cloth bucket seats
7. Euro grilles and Headlights
8. BBS 2 piece wheels
9. New radiator installed in the last 8 months
10. Dinan exhaust cam
The problems:
1. Inoperable front passenger window, i suspect the motor's gone
2. Odometer stopped ticking in Feb. 08' @184,xxx
3. Wind shield has a prominant crack from top to bottom
4. Trunk gasket is worn and leaks, I have a new from Bav. Auto which i will include
5. Tool kit is incomplete
6. Antenna does'nt work
7. AC is inoperable
8. Little rust where the trunk lid latches/ license plate light location
The gest of it:
This car is not a concours winner, she is however very respectable and absolutly joyous to drive.I get compliments frequently and although unassuming people notice there is something special there. The car shows well but the paint has its faults many of which a good buffing would remove, but it would not remove all of them. I would say for original paint its very nice minus a small chip on the passenger wheel well, a few scratches hear and there not through the paint, and maybe 5 door dings. The interior shows well but is not perfect, again respectable. The drivetrain is great. I would rate the exterior a 7/10, interior 7/10, and drivetrain 8/10. This is a prime candidate for a daily driver where you won't cry if something minor happens or a good candidate for restoration to make a pristine M5. I also have $9500.00 worth of reciepts from 04' to present not inclusive of $1500.00 that i have spent. Also if you go to the M-registry you can look it up the last four of the vin are 1982 and the owners name is ben krauss. You will find more pics and some mod lists there. This car is way below market in my opinion, for some reason they are really difficult to sell. If the car has'nt sold soon like this week i will be tearing it down and you can start sending me requests for parts. I have been trying to sell this car for some time and can't even get someone to look at it lots of virtual tirekickers. I'm feed up what can i say. My cell is 912 228 1794 :alright
