Plate holder conversion help

M535 guys, I was hoping you guys could help me solve a problem I've encountered. I have Japanese license plate holders and their holes are in the wrong spot for my North American plates. I've removed the brackets that held the Japanese plates and that's left me with a front bumper that looks like this:


The screws (#7) that hold the bracket in place are too far apart for a North American license plate to mount directly onto, so there must be some North American bracket that bridges the bumper and the plate, but I can't find reference to it anywhere.
Same issue exists for the back plate but there is no tidy little OEM diagram.

Does anyone have a part number or a URL to link me to what I need?

I don't think there was a lot of consistency in how US/Canada plates were adapted to M535i bumpers...it seems like every one I've seen was done differently. On my M535i, they just drilled some holes in the front bumper cover and put in some threaded inserts - not very stylish but it works. Whenever I get a new plate I also have to spend a few minutes gently bending it so it will fit the contour of the bumper.

I used something like this. It took some modification, but it works fairly well.
