FS: Alpine Head Unit - CDE 7872 -- Photos added

I have just complete installing a new, Alpine stereo system in my car that is iPod compatible, so I have an Alpine head unit that I removed and no longer need, and would like to see go to good use.

This is a single CD head unit. Max power is 50W per channel, but realistic power is 20w. The unit has 12 FM and 6 AM presets (FM 1, FM 2, and AM). The head unit has a removable face plate for security. There are also two sets of outputs on the headunit (for RCA cables) so that you can use a seprate amplifier to power all of your speakers, not just a sub etc.

The reason I switched this radio out of my car is that I couldn't use my iPod, and the FM modulator adapter I have doesn't work well with the 535's cigarette lighter. Another downside, which annoyed me but would not otherwise cause me to incur the time and expense that I have redoing the stereo, is that the illumination is green. That issue aside, the head unit is, by today's standards, a conservative looking headunit.

I have the factory manual, the mounting bracket and harness, as well as the case for the faceplate.

Cosmetic condition is very good. The only costmetic flaws are that the white lettering on some of the buttons is fading a bit.

Faceplate plastic looks all scratched up in the pic.

Might just be the flash making it look that way.

It's not, but I appreciate the heads-up. The faceplate is in fine shape, except for what I noted with respect to some of the lettering.

To get a good shot of the faceplate, I had it on our kitchen counter and set the undercabinet lighting to "high" so that people could see the lettering. That probably creates the effect you see.

Best thing to do for shots like that are to take them outside, but so the sun doesn't reflect. Also, take them available light.
