motronic receptacle female spade terminals + removal tool?

Post by Russianblue »

found out Saturday the innards of my Motronic plug have been altered or are damaged and I need to make some repairs before Megasquirt will work.

any of you guys know of a special tool for removing the female spade terminals from the motronic 55-pin receptacle? barring that, any old tricks of the trade?

also, i'm gonna need replacement female crimp sockets. anyone know of part numbers or viable alternatives from digikey or similar? I think AMP/Tyco makes them, but i have no idea on the part numbers etc.

any of these look like likely suspects?

The wiring harness is on my SuperETA, mfg 3/87.

Miller Performance sends out a tool with their MAF kits. It is a Hobico pin removal too - looks like a screwdriver, but the tip is bent. Works well. I'm sure you can find it most anywhere. Mine isn't handy at the moment, so someone else will have to get you the model number.
