What size is the brake fluid reservoir cap???

Is the reservoir cap 41mm? I'm curious cause my buddy has a pressure bleeder for his e36. Just wondering if it will work, as far as i know, i thought they all utilize the ATE same cap size so it should work. Just checking. Thanks

You gotta be kidding! I am continually impressed with the knowledge of the folks on this board...but to expect somebody to know the size (& dont forget about thread pitch!) of the brake fluid reservior cap is asking a bit much. Having said that, and knowing this bunch, probably at least half a dozen people will now reply with the correct answer.

No matter -- step away from the keyboard sir. Grab your bud's bleeder & TRY IT TO SEE IF IT FITS!

According to realoem.com they have different part numbers, but that doesn't mean they don't use the same thread. It seems easy enough to simply try the bleeder cap on your car to see if it fits.

I will, my friend is an hour away so i before i make the trip for something that wont fit, just wanted to check. Guess ill go Anyway

It will work, i used one that fits e46, e36, pretty much everything on mine.
