and got my butt kicked. The F250 has the banks kit and is supposed to be somewhere around 500-600 hp. My 535 beat him off the line and right up to around 60. Once the turbo built boost, he out accelerated right up to 100. The second race was rolling from 50 mph. The turbo lag made the difference here as i won this race.
Anyone have modified turbo deisel trucks? They have so much potential its scary.

heh heh, turbodiesel vehicles have a lot of potential. One of my customers (when I was living in Santa Barbara) let me drive his '05 Ram 3500 4x4 Cummins with banks kit, larger exhaust manifold, bigger intercooler, etc...he was supposedly pushing 600hp and over 950 lb ft of torque.

I raced a friend to 70 or so, me in the big-ass truck, and him in a 6-month old 330i. Not only did the truck win by at least a car length, but it lit up the 37" mud tires on the launch.

Those big trucks can make crazy amounts of power. I saw the Bully Dog truck on Speed and it was running 62 psi of boost.

Yea, we have an F350 that we use to haul race cars to the races and we use it as our runabout w/out the trailer during race weekends. It's fun to blow the doors off of ricers in a big dually! They're always a little sore after that happens.

Bummed on power of my 524

I have an 85 524td that is a dog and my father has a 93 dodge diesel that will light up the tires until you get off the gas.

I don't need that much torque, but enought to at least bark the tires would be nice. Any of you dabble with your diesel to get it so you don't have to push it up hills?

When i used to work at Fairfield Dodge a couple years ago in CA as a salesman, we were encouraged to go and test drive other dealerships vehicles. So i got to drive all the diesel engines avaiable.
Even sometimes they had a new vehicle coming out and they brought some competitor's vehicles i.e. Ford, Chevy, etc...

Even stock all those diesel trucks haul major ass
We had fun getting the ram 3500 up to 120 on the highway hehe.

Dodge had a tricked out truck that they gave to us to sell, it had a perfomance kit for the turbo, different manifold, wastegate, blow off valve, different piping, and a chip. From Mopar i think. It went head to head against the SRT-10 and came out on top.
