Hey Aaron....beautiful e28! Kudos! Looks like you were having a nice time...
Wish there were more RED e28s to be found in the U.S. but it seems to have been a relatively rare color here.

I'm surprised the course rules don't require you and your instructor/passenger to WEAR HELMETS! What's up with that...unless that D.E. event was held at the local e28 enthusiast chapter of the Harley-Davidson Rider's Club

Yes, I too wondered what that tube was hanging down beneath the car. If this was a Jeep Cherokee or GM pick-up / SUV, I would have guessed it was a parking brake cable or some sort of electrical harness but this is a BMW

Good photos, but over here in safecrat-central (USA) we have to wear helmets for those closed-course events. Better than smacking your noggin' on the A pillar.

Looks like a slower-speed, car control type clinic. All the schools like that I've instructed and seen do not require helmets. I think it's ridiculous they're required for autox...

Very nice looking car Aaron, man I love those bumpers. That "wire" hanging down appears to be on the extreme left side, possibly outside the frame rail. Could it be a trunk mounted battery cable? I'll guess the thingy on the roof is a small camera? Let us know, this is like the "name that part" game, whatever happened to that?

Bingo on both parts. (but im going to remove the wire an make it better..cable ties are not enough.)

On the roof is a Tiny Pinhole camera atached to a magnet with a laptop recording.....got good footage..and then the HDD Failed big time!! A real shame..i may have video soon though hopefully from other sources.

We where not really doing slow speeds. even though it was a Driver education day..the first step in driver BMWCCV driver traing programee (my third time now...so now im mostly in this event for fun.) (waiting to get a shot on the proper race track)

The first and second photos are from the Back track...a small racing track of soughts..Lots of fun on that.

The Third of the Skidpan at the same facilitie.

Why no helmets? I dont think there is a need there? .....even though there is quite a bit of spirited driving by the veterans of the course ...it is quite safe..when i do the proper track days...i will need a CAMS licence, Helmet, Bonnet/hood tie downs, and fire extinguisher. as it is just part of the rules.
