Here's a new car for The Tanned One to consider. I like those early 750iL (e32) alloys...wonder if they are forged like the e38 750iL wheels are rumored to be?
Does this 535is belong to anyone from the board? It is located in Powder Springs, GA (ATL area).
Cheers,
Tim

Whaddya mean, "rumored"?! Tim, pop the center cap off your wheels and look at the offset markings ... engraved, not cast in. They're forged.

These old soup-dish wheels, style 3, 7.4 kilos, forged (early) or 7.62 kilos(late). Only difference is the center mounting system AFAIK. Fugly IMO but great for the track if you want to mind weight.

Note the style 4 were available in a 15" size, also forged, less than 6.5 kilos.

Tammer,
Thanks man...never knew for sure how to check that feature (forged vs. cast)...now I know...forged = engraved markings! Cool!

My bronzit '87 with the Style 4s is now sitting in 535iYes' garage in Terre Haute, IN ;)

How are you making out with your repairs? Again, you may seriously want to contact Jay in VA re: getting your car on his buddy's frame machine...OR...are you already beyond that point? Keep us posted...

Cheers,
Tim

I've seen the car on the road but don't know the owner. Layton and I both travel Powder Springs Road daily. If the owner lives in Powder Springs he would be somewhere between our house in West Marietta and Layton in Hiram.

Welcome BMRSEB...tell the gruppe more about your e28 - - -

The Good (what has been done recently, availability of maintenance records/receipts?)
The Bad (what it needs mechanically and cosmetically)...

Best of luck with the sale...hopefully she'll get a good home with some one here...

Best,
Tim

I think I saw this car a few years ago sitting on Johnson Ferry Road with a for sale sign on it. I recall the interior as being natur, as opposed to llama. Same car?
