Real good way for a noob to start eh? A pic request for RIIIEEMMZZZ!!!
I will be picking up a 535i with trx wheels/tires on Sunday. Needless to say, the wheels and tires will need to be replaced at some point. I am trying to decide on a wheel size that fits the e28 best. If anyone has pics of their car or someone else's car on 16 inch or 17 inch wheels, please post them up!

Thanks, Brad.
They take a lot of cutting of the fender lip in the rear. I still have just a hint of rub in the back top quadrant of the wheel when I hit a bump at speed that makes the suspension move rearward due the slop in the dogbones and the subframe bushings. Filled bushings, filled diff. mount, dogbones and 3.91 lsd all are to be installed this week-end.

I believe that the subframe bushings and the new dogbones will eliminate any rearward movement of the suspension.

Thanks guys! I think I am going to go with 17's. They look just about right. Now I just have to decide what wheels to go with. I like style 5's alot, they remind me of my old BBS RM's. I like the style 32's and the ar1's alot too. We'll just see what's cheap and available when I get the dough. :) Thanks again!

I'm going to be replacing the metric wheels and tires on the '87 535is I just picked up as well.

When changing to a 16" or 17" wheel - is there anything special to look out for, like what offset? Whats the bolt pattern - 5x120 like on my 3's?

Sorry for are probably stupid questions but I'm a crossover from the E46Fanatic site since I have 2 E46's but this is my first ever that's not a 3 series. She ain't in great shape but she's going to be transformed into a real knock-out!

Actually no ;) I forget who, but they have a white e28(e28, on e28 forums, NO) and they got them just recently, month or so ago.
Nice car I might add. :D

16" Racing Dynamics stripped and painted black. Bought 'em off ebay for $220 and have about $80 in materials. The countless man-hours I spent wishing I'd paid to have them beadblasted and powdercoated, priceless!

Ok, let me try that again! That's not too good. OK,

OK, I'm now realizing that those shots don't do the wheels any justice. Can you tell I was going for the "I hate brake pad dust" look? :D
