I have no idea honestly. I would have both in front of me I couldn’t even know what I would be looking at. Since I never experienced injection issues with none of my bmw’s so far, I’ve never had to dig into it. I didn’t know that two different systems existed. I will have to look it out.
Is there an obvious way to tell one from the other ?

K Jet has a large fuel distributor with plastic lines going to the Injectors. L jetronic has electrically actuated injectors, so they would have wires going to them. Probably the easiest way to identify between the two.
