well started life as a genuine  1982 71k 3 speed  Auto 525i  Im the 3rd owner  the original  owner  had it as a company car  then when he left the company  and retired  he bought it off them then  when he died his wife put it in the garage  and there it sat ... the guy on the right  used to work for an independent bmw dealer in the early 90s  and used  to pick the car up  for  servicing . the same garage that used to service my dads  E23  when i was a kid  so i knew the owner of this garage . Fast forward 30 odd years  told my mate im after an E28  he said  he knew of one  first question i asked was what color ??  he said green .... i was  like NFW  his response you need to see it  its from  Noel .... the owner of the garage  who used to service my dads car ... now a 3.4  getrag 5 speed manual ...... My "Alpina build ".... my two mates who helped me build it .. I'm the baldy in the middle  bloke on the right  is the builder  the guy on the left is the detailer . Car came with genuine NOS staggered Alpina 16in wheels brand new tires  and Genuine  Alpina 4 spoke steering wheel  and  replica  front air dam ... Since its an early E28 the same guy offered me some  period correct late E12  early  E28  Recaro Front sport seats .... i couldn't say no ... got them retrimmed  in original material .....so Bilstein  front inserts  with 45mm Spax  springs  front  rears are  Spax  34 way adjustable rears with 35mm springs to give it a bit of that "Alpina " rake ..... E34 V8 front stoppers  with E36  brake flexis ..Full Fritz bits exhaust stainless exhaust system including  6 branch  manifold means the car breaths  so well   25 mph in 5th  put ya foot down   and it just pulls .... and pulls ....  A guy on another forum  worked out the ratios  and said its geared for  162 mph  with the  525 Auto diff  and to be fair  i dont think  its off ... 100mph is 3500 rpm . I've had an indicated 145mph  (gps) out of it  with still more to go and still straight as an arrow  . Cant fault  this car ... Mad thing is is that  my job  involves me moving cars  worth  50 times   what my E28 is worth  but they are completely  souless .. i get more enjoyment knowing i own my  dream car  !! Yea  its not  a "Real Alpina "  but its within my budget .
. well hope you like it

We like that color. It wasn’t available in the US.

Chairs look comfy and they will hold you in place

its quite a rare  color  only available from about 82/84 FWIK . the seats are out of an original  late E12 M535   and since my car is an  early  E28 Nov 82  they seem to be period  correct ..... tbh not the most comfiest  but you get use to them ...
