Oem floor mats.

Post by 328dabi »

Anyone here buy oem floor mats  51-47-1-915-655
they are listed as fitting e28’s and are listed as anthracite for color. My interior is grey. Would this be the correct color? Turnermotorsports has them listed on their websight.  These mats seems to have tabs to hold them in place by my car doesn’t have these tabs?

any suggestions as to where I could get a proper set of mats or is this my best bet? My car is missing the drivers mat but has the original mats for the rear and passenger footwells. So I’m trying to find a complete set of grey oem mats.

Those are factory mats. Anthrazite is the gray/light black color.  Free shipping from Turner/ECSTuning/Pelican but can be found cheaper - you'll need to check shipping costs.  Updated mounting system.

The factory mats I've bought in recent years for E36 and just last year, E39 have been such poor quality that I'd look elsewhere. At first I thought it was just an E36 thing, 3 series gets cheaper stuff than 5 series, but both the ones I took out of the E39 (having a receipt in the records) and the ones I just bought were about half the thickness of the original E39 mats.

I ordered the mats from turner. They seem thin from the photos but locating originals in good condition. That matches my interior isn’t easy. This is a Sunday driver, so doesn’t see much use. I’m trying to fully restore and also add period correct oem accessories and port options. I have the first North American spec td. So my vision is full oem plus period correct restoration. Hopefully I don’t regret not buying llyods mats which I’ve bought for previous cars. So I know quality is top notch.
