Heater Control Valve (does this look good?)

Post by topher800 »

My wave washer was completely disintegrated, everything else seemed fine.  Probably refurbished in the past.  I appear to have thin washers on for each side of the wave washer/spring.  Does it matter?  Is this normal, semi normal, out of character?

The washers seem correct.  While you have it out, get a rebuild kit and replace the rubbers.  Quite cheap and easy.

Thanks, I used the Uro kit.  That's the rebuilt.  The old rubber was in decent shape and the screen looked free of debris, but I replaced it all Anyway.

My 2 cents: the little rubber cone doesn't go there. Once the valve is disassembled, the cone should be slid down the rod against the circlip at the very bottom.
