Re: subharness break/steering system
All three, lighting the same bulb on the dash are shown lower left on page 6210-2 of the 86 E23 ETM.
Should not be difficult to rewire these.

Look up under '85, E23. Page 40 by pdf or page 128 "warning indicators"
Shows how it's wired, kind of an open parallel group, so if one closes the circuit closes. Includes color codes. Should be easy, says the guy behind a keyboard.

Re: subharness break/steering system
Thank you both,
I found the page on the ETM. I cant believe i couldn't find it on my own.
Another question if you don't mind, in the vicinity lies some kind of claxon that looks like an alarm, one of the wires is hot all the time. Do you guys usually run these or delete them? I had no idea my car came with an alarm. unless I am wrong.

Yep, it came with an alarm, part of the OBC.

Re: subharness break/steering system
Set your code in the OBC and try to start the car three times without putting the code in and that horn will sound. per the owner's manual
