should i be worried with pre detonation on partial throttle since the WOT map is only tuned? if i down shift and lets say i was around 4500 rpm would i be safe if the turbo was in boost. running 93 octane.

There is one way to find out, go out and do your best to instigate the problem.  If your exhaust isn't too loud you will hear the det if it is occurring.

I will say that I have significant confidence in a TCD chip.  It should handle things as well as Motronic can be expected to handle them.

Thank you will look for it. or try to hear it. it will be my first time running the chip. was asking around to see if anyone had problems with it just during regular driving.
