Hey guys any NE area e28 groups ?
Re: Any Northeast area e28 groups?
I’m curious as well. I’m in north Jersey. I’ve only seen one other e28 on the road near me.

Re: Any Northeast area e28 groups?
There are a number of BMW-specific Facebook groups/pages. We have a DMV (DC/MD/VA) E39 group. I looked for a Mid-Atlantic group & found these:

There's also The Vintage page, for those fans of the spring event in Asheville, North Carolina - lots of us are there:

Re: Any Northeast area e28 groups?
There are quite a few E28 owners, both here in the NYC metro area and also in the Boston area. Plenty in between as well.
The way I view this endeavor is: MAKE ONE. Find us all; assemble a group. Hold an event. Publicize it. MAKE IT HAPPEN.
In the end, we will likely show up, specifically if it is an E28 event, and we have enough time to plan for it.

I lurk much more than I post, and spend most of my free weekends at the track in either my E28 or E30 race car.
Re: Any Northeast area e28 groups?
Union county here would be nice to meet other e28 enthusiasts in the future.

I'm in CT and would love to meet up with fellow New Englanders! Any meets planned? Desires to create a Northeast group since there doesn't seem to be one already?

I'm in CT also - I see a black 528e occasionally. My alpineweis 535is is mostly track use these days.

I'd be in for any sort of meet! Located in Western NY currently. I always get jealous seeing the west coast meet ups.

Re: Any Northeast area e28 groups?
Nice! Glad to see everyone nearby. FCP Euro is doing a BMW C&C at Lime Rock Park on May 7th in CT. I have a contact at FCP and can see if I can coordinate a portion of the area where we park specifically for the E28 community if I could garner enough interest here. Is there anyone who would want to do this?

I do like the sound of this. It’s about a two and a half hour drive for me. Not too bad. You can count me in.

Me and my M5 are totally in for Lime Rock on May 7.fancyganci wrote: Mar 10, 2023 3:21 PM Nice! Glad to see everyone nearby. FCP Euro is doing a BMW C&C at Lime Rock Park on May 7th in CT. I put the Lime Rock C&C on the calendar. Any details for time?
Not an E28 owner but I wouldn’t mind tagging along if E46s are invited.

Awesome! I'll count all you guys in! I'll figure out the exact time on May 7th, but it looks like the Swede (Volvo, SAAB) meet is from 9am - 1pm for their 4/22 meet. I'll confirm and as soon as I find out, I'll let you guys know. And @WilNJ all BMWs are welcome!milarsky wrote: Mar 11, 2023 2:47 PMMe and my M5 are totally in for Lime Rock on May 7.fancyganci wrote: Mar 10, 2023 3:21 PM Nice! Glad to see everyone nearby. We can finalize details once it gets closer but I'd be up for a caravan from NJ/NYC.
Re: Any Northeast area e28 groups?
Anyone driving down to The Vintage from the NE?
Re: Any Northeast area e28 groups?
Unfortunately I just found out I’ll be in NC for that weekend. It’s my nephews graduation and can’t miss it. I’m in for other meets that may get organized.JimmyKay wrote: Mar 11, 2023 12:17 PM I do like the sound of this. It’s about a two and a half hour drive for me. Not too bad. You can count me in.
Re: Any Northeast area e28 groups?
would be nice to attend a gathering that is not 87% Porsches, 6% Ferraris, 3% E30s of some kind, and 4% "everything else". Count me in!fancyganci wrote: Mar 10, 2023 3:21 PM Nice! nothing wrong with Porsches, Ferraris, E30s or their owners. It's just that they have SO MUCH ENTHUSIASM

For anyone who can't get enough Bimmer in their life, there's another event at Lime Rock that might interest you.
M Fest is October 14 and 15

Re: Any Northeast area e28 groups?
For anyone in NJ or interested in stopping in, theres a semimonthly C&C event that I’ve been to a couple times. It is usually at one of a small handful of locations in Morris County.
The organizers try to keep it a mature event and some of the cars are things you may not seen anywhere else.
They do have a yahoo mailing list but I don’t remember how I got on it. You can follow here.

Re: Any Northeast area e28 groups?
This is the group. Your link didn't work for me. They usually meet at the D&D parking lot on rt10 in Morris Plains or the Weichert building down the road. They also meet at Chatham Highschool. They sent out a schedule but the locations aren't mentioned until the week before. I guess I could update this thread or you can follow them on Instagram.
They also meet at Hacklebarney State Park in Chester. These meets are the coolest. The location is great and always an incredible turnout as far as classic euro car content goes.
I hope to put some cars and faces to your user names this year.

Re: Any Northeast area e28 groups?
Thanks for fixing the link.
I haven't been there in years but I believe they try to alternate between Morris Plains and Chatham HS. In addition to Hacklebarney, they also do Fathers Day in Summit and there will usually be one event at Paul Miller Porsche in Parsippany. They will also have a fundraiser/road rally during the summer.

Re: Any Northeast area e28 groups?
Anyone headed to Bavarians and Brits at Lime Rock sponsored by FCP Euro, looks like they’re asking for registration. It’s free.

Gates open at 8am. I’m contemplating a drive up on Saturday afternoon and spending the night at an AirBnB. Anyone in the area or have similar thoughts?
