Vibration Dampener

Post by Ju@n »

Hi guys,
I'm on my way to MS my 535, I have the standard M30B34 that came with it.
While looking at some old pics from when I did the manual swap on it, I saw a couple of pics from the vibration dampener that the engine had, and noticed the centre is pretty large.
I seem to remember that I had to pull the Jesus nut out to remove the dampener, but now, looking at this pictures I'm not so sure anymore.
Is the removal of the Jesus nut needed to pull the vibration dampener out? or is it only needed to remove the crank hub?
Thanks in advance!
Juan

It's "damper," not "dampener" (it doesn't make it wet). ;)

You can pull the damper by removing the eight bolts holding it to the crank hub. The crank hub is what's held by the large nut.

Unfortunately, the majority of native English speakers get it wrong -- you're fine in that regard. :)
