Bought the P-car today

It's super hot looking...and I paid several...like more than 4
thousand for the mongo drivetrain warranty.
When I opened the "hood/trunk" I just closed it and said a small prayer...then I wrote the check.

...then, I came home and had a shot of Wild Turkey.

Back up to 4 cars again...I swore I wouldn't do that.

For a Porsche, the motor on a 924 turbo is in the trunk.

For a Pantera, the trunk is a plastic tub that fits on top of the transmission.

Yeah...they have a huge internet deal that I don't abide by.
They had several Boxsters' out there, but my wife couldn't decide which gear to choose since it looks the same at both ends.

This car showed up recently and has never left the North Phoenix zip code in its' life, so I had to check it.

Supposed to be a Christmas present for momma, but she wasn't sure about a blue leather interior...so I had to let her in on the deal.

I took your advice and ordered OEM Hella clear side markers to replace the orange pumpkins. (I'll hang on to everything)

The car also has a massive double-din touch-screen Kenwood sound system in it that I am replacing. Researching the head unit reveals that the head alone is $699, not to mention the GPS mapping receiver add-on in the trunk, the dual crossovers, and the mongo-amplifier.

It's WAY too complicated for my wife, and I don't give a shit about all that...so I will have it professionally removed and offer it for sale if any of you younger guys are interested.
It's not ghetto, it's all very high-end...but of no use to me, so I'm going back to a single-din Becker or equivalent and the factory cupholder assembly.

Installed the clear markers today. The car looks much better with them on...I must say. (no picture taken yet)

I joined a Pcar forum to see what's what...oye.

Real mixed bag over there...I may just be on my own with this car.
The takeaway for me is that as has been said many times: this is a fantastic forum with a stupendous group of guys who check in every day.

You gain a perspective the minute you try somewhere else.

A good friend of mine has a '99 911 and has been enriching the owner of Classic Import since he got it.
