NOOB dumb questions. (did not search first)

Yes I understand that there is a search function. If you could please help without reminding me of this fact I would appreciate it.

I have about 2000 dollars to spend. The car is running perfect and has a Turner chip. I am thinking of spending the money on a Turner Motorsport suspension package and a Split second MAF.

1. Is there something I should be spending money on first? (not MAF and suspension)

2. Where can I find a front lower fairing/air dam that has the driving lights? Can they be bought as an after market or do you just have to find a used one?

3. Which model and year would provide the best brake upgrade for the money?

I have not taken the time to research the answers, but here are the answers.

1) Buy a library card. Spend any leftover on beer.
2) They can be bought on the after markets. Go to the before markets and turn left.
3) 2013 M5. They're free if you can find one unattended and bring your own wrenches. some labor required.

The desired parts from turner are not going to be the correct thing to buy today.

The $2000 rule exists for a reason. It costs $2000 to put ANY USED E28 purchased into good condition. We have NO IDEA what YOUR CAR needs but there are places on the web that detail that information and allow you to determine what your car needs.

Go through ALL THE FAQs and verify you have NONE of those issues. Then use the projects page I linked when you got the ETM and verify that your car is in the pristine condition performing all those jobs would produce.

Then make sure you have a great stereo.

Don't listen to any of the folks that think the money is best spent covering up that Bronzit. Some people like Bronzit.

A civil answer, without knowing what has already been done, if anything besides the chip:
1) You say it runs perfect already, so why mess with it?
2) If in US dress, a iS or M5 oem front air dam is the easiest if you want to combine it with driving lights. They come up pretty often here used.
3) Stock works pretty well. If you must, the cheapest, most straightforward is from any e34.
Honestly, if you really want to throw money at it, start with replacing every rubber part under the car. Every bushing, ball joint and mount. If you have any money left, start replacing all the rubber on the outside of the car, including the trunk and tail light seals. Then window lock strips. I think you're out of money now and your car is way better than it was.

I was really excited about my new car and wanted to find out more. However I am away from home without out a computer. I am in a hotel with horrible reception and I am trying to use my crummy phone to find out more info. My eyes just are not good enough to read info off of such a tiny screen.

But I see that this is not the right place and time to get it. I was asking for help. I am sorry to have offended.

I really thought there would be someone who could help a neophyte.

gokyo, I apologize for my colleagues' - and I use that term loosely - bad behavior. Please forgive them for they know not what they do. Then again maybe they do.

May I suggest a bigger phone though, maybe thicker glasses or at the very least activating the phone's accessibility options? All of those suggestions have worked for me.
