So I went over there one night.

Yeah, it's polished 304, 1.9" OD, 18 gauge. The ends have little 2" sleeves so I can slip fit my "mufflers". Loud is good, especially on Lower Wacker.

SRSLY it's made out of pool railings. The only thing I did not make were the SST 1 3/4" down pipes which were made by Nameless Performance, though it was a one off thing and they're not making them anymore unless you can convince them through a group buy. That said, those guys really made a great product.

I should have said that I'm familiar with the function of the chamber for scavenging. Why I asked about your choice to include it in your design is because I've not seen h or x pipes used in most e28 exhaust applications. Am I wrong in this assumption?

Because that usually happens in the catalytic converter and/or center muffler, neither of which exist here.
