If you mean BMW seats, from what I understand E24 seats bolt directly in, and E30 seats, with some modifications (holes aren't quite in the right place).
If you mean aftermarket seats, sure! Recaro, Corbeau, Sparco.. you can get these into your E28, I bought a slightly more reasonably priced set of ricer sport seats from Tenzo, which I'm having reupholstered to my liking to get rid of the ricer evidence with the money I saved, and I cut and welded (with DMNaskales help - he did the welding) my own custom seat adapters which fit the stock BMW seat rails - total cost to me in materials for the seat mounts? Ker-ching! About $20 at Home Depot for the metal and matt black spray paint.
They'll be proudly on show at 5erfest. =)
That's the front.. as for the rears.. far as I know only thing you can use is an E28 rear seat.

I'm holding out for blue (I'm learning that this is a somewhat rare color) leather for the front seats and I'll get canvas covers to help me be patient till I find sweet seats. Leatherique looks great from a number of posts here and on roadfly, but that stuff kinda expensive, especially if you re-dye with a color-matched dye.
I did score a dark blue vinyl rear seat back yesterday in really great shape for $25.00. I'll have to dye the rear deck carpet to match.
