My first feature!

Post by clongo »

About a month ago I took a trip down to St. Augustine FL from Raleigh NC to throw my best friend his bachelor party. It was a incredible weekend full of close friends, BMW's, and great beer. My friend Josh Balduf photographed the whole weekend. He was a good friend of my best friend, but we had never met before this trip. He had also moved away from Jacksonville and now resides near Boston. I flew him to Raleigh where we met for the first time and hit the road to FL! There really isn't a better way to get to know someone than a 7hr drive with no radio or A/C. He wrote a feature of our trip and it was just posted online. I just emailed the editor a few changes that needed to be made, but overall I thought it was a great article. Here is a link to Josh's online portfolio.

Awesome! Back to my old stomping grounds. I worked at my Dad's hardware store in St. Augustine for ten years. Good times.

Todd, I stopped by Sam's to get that regulator for my alternator. He had the parts waiting for me when I arrived, lol. Also picked up some solid alternator bushings and a new tensioner arm from him while I had it apart. He told me you had swung by a month or two before I was there and said hi. It's such a small world, lol.

Great article and of course the car looks amazing. Any pics of the interior? I don't think I've seen the seats.

Thanks guys! I'll get some pics of the interior up soon. The seats came out ok for my first try at covering e30 seats. I'm still on the hunt for some period correct recaro's.

She's looking good, Chris. Good hanging out at Vintage. Glad to see your car getting the press it deserves!

Looks great dude. Great story/article.

Did I happen to see this car at the 24hrs of Daytona a year or two ago? It feels similar to one I walked by and stood and took it all in for a while before having to move on. Beautiful!

Sure is! It wasn't boosted back then. I heard it got a lot of attention that year where I parked it. I had press passes that weekend and was all over the place, lol.

Just went back through my millions photos. I knew I snapped a few while walking by trying to hide how aroused I was.
