after joining the forums quite a while ago and regularly dropping by to check for new pictures of your cars I figured it was about time for me to properly introduce myself.
Well, that´s me, sitting in a Berlin beer garden on a sunny afternoon. My name is Arnd, and I´m from a rather small town in the Ruhr area in Germany. My age is 34 and I earn my bucks by working as an editor for an online marketing company in Cologne. I always wanted to have my own E28 ever since my childhood days, when my father used to drive a green (puszta) 518, a car I absolutely loved.
So I set about acquring an E28 of my own and got this 1986 525e (528e in U.S. diction) with 240.000 kilometers on the clock. It served me as a daily driver for several years and I put about 30.000 more on it, until I finally realized that it would be a terrible waste to expose it to another harsh German winter. So, it got it´s special vintage car plates in 2007 and has seen not more than 3.000 kilometers since then.
There´s still a lot of things to do on this car and it´s far from perfect, but however, I really like it and wanted to share...
