first e28 / from new zealand

hi guys
Names Byron

purchased my first e28 few weeks ago wow does it drive smooth

bad points - little crack in the sump and front doors dont blend with rest of the car

goods - no dents , re covered interior , clean engine bay

My plans are to:

either replace or fix sump? what you guys think on this
put some e39 weaves on, was advised i need hubcentirc rings?
re paint both sides of car ro blend the metallic
also some sort of front lip if i can seems rare.
I know a guy with a m tech front would that look ok?

look out for questions as im new to these cars

From the pictures the bumpers look good. I would get the mechanical s out of the way and work on the suspension then wheels.

thanks for the warm welcome

touring is my daily 325i manual

the e28 is a 525 m30 motor , drives really good

bumpers are really straight and interior

getting sump replaced / maintance work during the week

also have a motorsport bumper needs a tidy not sure about it yet id love bbs front spoiler instead

And to to the OP: Nice car and nice color...I´d go with the BBS oder Pfeba shark style front spoiler on this one.

yea will go with some 16 inch style 5s first she seems lowered a little also ?

what does that sign mean? haha

yea hopefully can source a bbs front spoiler at some stage

well i hope its a m30 , heres a picture

i presumed it was doesn't look like the m20 in the e30

M30B25. Fitted to the 525i. We didn't get them here. Remember Dean with the red e28? That started off as a 525i.

OP, nice car. Looks like a good base! I've got a BBS front spoiler, but my buddies got dibs on it. If he passes on it, and you havn't found one yet, we might be able to work something out.

will source some 225 50 16 according to what ive read online

also what size hubcentric rings would i need if they are e39 weaves?

sump replaced
changed spark plugs new oil etc
still yet to give it a good clean
undecided if i should take the tow car off for a cleaner look
pick these up in the weekend
16x7 only i like them though got them real cheap
tyre size? if i want to lower it slightly?

If you want to FEEL what's great about an E28, the tires you're considering are too big and heavy for the 2.5 you have. You'll like the dynamics of a 205 much better.

On a 16" wheel, I think you want a 205-55.

ended up going 205 55 16 , took the advise

here how she look now

yes my two front doors the color is off really bugs me, and since its metallic need to paint the whole side , might as well get a respray

since i got her havent had time to give it a solid clean in and out!

next will the be suspension it does ride smooth but i noticed , cvs need to be replaced etc , might do the shocks also
noticed it is actually looked springs are red
