Pic Request: 16" BBS RA

Post by iamcreepingdeath »

I tried searching, but it is so dang hard to parse through so many threads whose titles do not hint at all as to whether they contain BBS RA or not.

Preferably E28 pics. I have a euro 520i and it is definitely going do be lower and for some reason my brain is stuck on staggered 16x7/16x8 BBS (Mahle) RA.

As it sits currently with E38 style 5s:

Here is my car with RAs. It's not slammed and will never be. What ever happened to just a nice stanced look?

"Stanced" has a new definition.

Obviously, I didn't get that message. I'm guessing this is the new definition.

I think it's 15" RA's. Just do some photoshop work.

My old 533, certainly not "stanced" (not a fan of stance), but tastefully lowered for performance, and IMO sits nicely.

photo shop?

Asking for anything lower than 1.5 inch springs on here will bring the wrath of many middle aged men.

Not necessarily RA's, but still meshie wheels (HRE 501's)

Most of the forums probably hate this car to no end. Hahaha

EDIT Full feature on StanceWorks.

You apparently fail to understand the difference between hate and pity.

Thanks for all the replys guys!!

When I say "slammed" I mean lowered as far as you can while still retaining a useful suspension. I am by no means a fan of the "stanced" look made popular by Mike Burroughs. My ideal suspension for my E28 would be GC coils with a good bit of lowering, to a point where it is tasteful yet aggressive, and can handle well.

The wheels are 14" by 6.5" BBS Mahles with 195/70R14 tires.

I have only scraped twice since I installed the front suspension in December of last year. Once on a speed bump and once on a narrow-but-really-deep pothole on a gravel to pavement transition. I like the way the car handles.

16in RZ's lowered on Bavauto springs. The back is lower because there is a set wheels in the trunk in this pic.

"“I should probably be dressed nicer just to drive this car.”"

I think this every time I drive my e28. Bluejeans just don't quite match the black leather.

Bump, I have a line on a set of staggered RAs w/ black centers for my E28, need more pics!

I am trying to decide if I should ditch my E38 style 5s in favor of RAs.
