On June 25th, Fred Larimer and I are bringing back the Concours to the Muckenthaler in Fullerton after a two year abscence. Fred got tired of doing it and no one else would help or take the reins. I will be doing it next year without Fred as he agreed to help me with the budget, flyers, location, insurance, etc. I would love to see a "school" of e28s there this year (and no, I am not competing). I have had a bunch of offers to help, but mainly from the E9 crowd. So come one, come all! Mark the date. Please?

This was an annual (and serious) BMWCCA event that had a huge draw from BMW owners in So Cal. The event has been scrapped the last two years because no one would take over the responsibility for organizing it. I wanted to get more involved with the club, so I asked if we could bring it back. We have the blessing of the LA chapter and it is going to be at the Muckenthaler theatre in Fullerton, Ca. It is a huge facility with about an acre of grassy area for staging cars. We are considering the BMW Mini crowd for participants as well. The event used to be at the Huntington Beach Library which was a nice setting, but their insurance company has issues. Even if you don't bring a car to show, there are some beautiful cars to look at.

I know that I will be in Carlsbad sometime in June. If it is around this date, I will be happy to help out.

I will be their starting Feb 28th - March 11th also.

Ron, if you're you're serious about inviting the MINI guys, let us all know.

We had a SoCal group of 40 MINI's show up at work here a coupla' months ago. These guys love showin' their cars and are huge enthusiasts. I talked to one guy who claimed to have over $50k into his car. ~0 :?

The event sounds great, and it's always good to hear about more SoCal events.

Now if I can just figure out how to try both cars at once..... :p
