I was checking on classic car insurance Heacock will cover the car for 3000 miles per year as a classic for $137.00.(includes comprehensive) A NADA book from another insurance company gives wholesale at $3700 with a new cost in 1985 as 30,000 $. She may not have been looking at the m535 however.

It belonged to a good friend of mine. I had been after him to sell it to me but I thought I could get a bigger price for him than what he wanted. Turned out not. So, I bought it.

About reselling in 6 months for 10k. . I have had a 85 318 since new. I dont buy them to sell them. I keep, at least when it comes to good bmw's. Not sure about keeping our later e-46, but its the wife's. Its up to her.

Your E46 was nice, but I really like your E30. It's a fine example of a taken care of 3 series. I know the M535i will turn out the same... plus it matches your other cars well!

THey had been doing competitions that day shooting balloons off the backs of horses at a full gallop with blanks in their six shooters. Something right out of a John Wayne film. No, the car is an M535i with a US spec 3.5 liter. Same as all the 535i/535is cars you see here.

OK everyone, I put up the car on the M register in the european section next to some guy from japan with a DOHC 85 M5. This cars build date was May 85. I also sent Mike Self at Tech Talk a note telling him I bought the car.

Mike Self at Roundel told me to check for sure that I had a cat converter under the car or I was going to be in for some deep doo doo. This is racy talk from the 1950's.

So last night I took out a flashlight and took a look. The converter was there but I found something else. Looks like baling wire is being used to hold the exhaust system in place. I wrote my friend mike W. the former owner and asked him about the baling wire. He said he was sure everything was OEM (original equipment manufacture to all the first timers reading this stuff).

So I wrote Mike back and asked him where I could get more of that OEM BMW baling wire. I may be needing more of it.

Do any of you know a part number for BMW baling wire? And how about a part number for bmw oem chewing gum?

thats cottonwood for u, they do this normally they dont need a comp for this. I use to live in sedona so people with guns was a normal thing.

In Arizona to get a concealed license, one has to attend a training class. I met someone who became a good friend who was a black belt, retired,and went once a week to the indoor range in Prescott to keep up his skills with his Colt Commander.

He, like I was a transplant from the Coast and I thought I was a conservative until one day I saw this young fellow dressed like a cowboy walking into the Cottonwood Wal Mart with what looked like a 38 revolver strapped to his waist. I thought that maybe carrying guns all the time might not be a good idea.

Then, living in Georgia, I find that I'm more liberal than I once thought. Guess its more of a libertarian belief, you know, the original Constitution and bill of rights. . The liberals think I and a conservative and the conservatives think I am a liberal.
