Proper method to remove stereo on 1988 M5

Can anyone provide me with the proper procedure and necessary tools to remove a stock stereo from a 88 M5? I would also like to know where/who can repair these devices so if you have a recommended repair shop please share.

There are two little tiny covers on each side of the radio. If you flip those open, there are little 5 sided socket screws that reqire a special tool to remove. If you unscrew those the clamps that hold the radio in place release and it slides right out. I have managed to use a tiny screwdriver or an odd sized allen wrench to unscrew those. Note that the screws don't actually come out as you turn them.

Why repair? You can buy these radios from junkyards real cheap these days. I just bought a replacement radio w/cassette for my '88 M6 for $20.00. You will need to get the code from the dealer for free.
