Well, in his defense, his primary motive for asking me was to be his eyes behind the car to see if the brake lights were working or not. It just started acting up yesterday morning; he mentioned it when he came home around 2, which is uncharacteristically prompt for him. He knows what to look for and what to do now, so all is well.

Pulled the sump. Took me 45 mins, pretty happy with that. Now just waiting on the new gasket and replacement sump, and then put it all back together. Next on the cards, steering box mount fix.

changed the earthing (if that the word) cable from my altenator and created a new gear boot...i will see the outcome of that since its not finished yet...

Installed a SAAB 9000 sunroof, as well as an M30B35 starter. Total time to install both was roughly 3.5 hours. Not too shabby.

Next week will be a Motronic 1.3 conversion.

It's not going far, and will still be under my purview, sorta. My 18 year old son is buying it.

He's been driving the car since I got the 735i, but he's been chomping at the bit to buy something of his own. He's done a lot of car shopping, and I think he just got sick of all the crap he found and the stupidity of so many of the sellers. The eta is a known quantity for him, is reasonably reliable, and doesn't take a rocket surgeon to fix. Plus we're giving him a screaming deal on it, and he doesn't have to pay sales tax on the purchase. Oh, and title transfer between family members is only like $6. That way it will be his car, not mine. Makes a difference to him I guess; he's happy, I'm happy.

Yup; he's a sharp kid.

I'm sure he'll be hanging around here sometime in the future.

Stole all the bulbs, lighted window switches, trunk carpet, and headlights from the parts car.

Installed the window switches and trunk carpet. Stashed the bulbs and holders in the garage...

R&R the left rear window motor and reg, attempted to diagnose a totally dead central locking system (it wasn't the controller), and cleaned and adjusted the throttle body in preparation for my weekend trip down to Portland, OR with the ladyfriend.

Just finished replacing the brake master cylinder and brake bomb. Whew! Glad that's over and the '33 is back on the road.

Wasn't able to replace the hose between the clutch MC and brake reservoir, so that'll need to happen soon.

Now the heater blower is starting to squeal, so I have a project for the weekend.
