Anyone see/buy buy that 88 m5 on craiglist from West New York? It was only up for 2 days. Description says it ran fine just leaked a little from the power steering hose.

Oh no doubt, just curious it seems to have sold rather quickly.
I'm looking to get into the e28 game. Theres a guy in Ohio selling a 535 with a 740 turbo swap.

Either buy a well done, properly and therefore relatively expensive turbo conversion (Preferably by someone from this board) or buy totally stock well loved E28 and do the conversion yourself. A butchered, half assed turbo conversion will not be a good introduction to E28's or performance turbo charged cars.

Thank you for the insight, the seller works for BMW and is a master tech. For what ever that's worth. Do you know how the 745 engine is in reliability? I currently drive an e39 528i with 200k on the clock. Ohio would be about a 10 hour drive so I haven't seen it in person. .02 appreciated.Here's the description:

1985 535 with 745 turbo motor swap. Car was originaly built for driver schools with future plans to turn it into a race car. Its equipped with bilstine coilovers all around with ground control camberplates, strut brace, bigger sway bars, e32 750 front brakes, e34 540 rear brakes with brass bushings front and rear, braided brake lines, e34 540 17 inch wheels with avon slicks, custom dme chip, modified wastgate, 14 psi boost, mls headgasket, arp headstuds. Car is black with a euro bumper on the rear, weights 2700lbs and currently has a 373lsd installed. Car was built with a factory theme im mind and has the factory 745 intercooler installed in same rf corner as it was designed.

Hes Asking $5000 It's been for sale since June.
