I'm trying to freshen up my airdam and have a few questions;
1) I was told that paint used for it is a slightly different color than the rest of the car. Apparently there is a small amount of brown in it? Do any of you know the paint code?
2) The P.O.'s wife drove the car knocked the foglight mount brackets off, they're still intact just need to be bonded on again somehow. Any recommendations for re-attaching the mounts? (epoxy or some sort of plastic weld? Is it worth the effort or should I be considering a brake cooling duct retrofit?
3) any ideas for well made aftermarket brake cooling ducts that utilize the factory foglight openings?

The paint code is Black (086) and there is no difference in the color. Its worth noting that the front spoiler was installed on E28 M5 and 535iS examples at the VPC-- this port preparation is sometimes identified on 535iS examples as option S841A which is a dummy code used to trigger the installation.
I would also suggest that you retain the fog lights and keep the car original-- the example you own is a survivor.

There are a number of two part plastic adhesives. I have used some DuPont product successfully to reattach the fog light mounting points to the air dam.
One of the race parts shops might have a plate that can be mounted to the fog light opening that will have round exit able to accept your favorite hose of the proper size. Try Pegasus. search ducts

One of my previous e28's had the fog lights and mounting brackets removed by the PO for some reason, and they hacked up the mounting points pretty good. Without removing the air dam I was able to re-mount them using metal "L" brackets with epoxy. I also used a few plastic zip-ties to loop between the fogs and the valance as a safety precaution in case the epoxy decided to let go. I drove it like that without any problem for the next couple of years before I sold it.

If you don't want to buy a new spoiler, get it painted, etc.. I'd take the old one off and through-bolt the fog light mounts. On the outside of the spoiler fill the holes with something that bonds well to ABS. Then repaint.
Whatever you end up doing it will look great I'm sure. After a while though the spoilers get beat pretty hard from rocks so be prepared to see your newly painted spoiler fall hard in a few years to road rash. I had my brand new spoiler painted three years ago and it's about time I rip the bumpers and spoiler off and do it again. But I put 25k a year on my car
