Exactly.

Jeremy's a good guy -- I've never seen any douchebaggery or attitude from him. He knows my opinion about stretch, though!

Read the article, scanned the pics, very disappointed.

The good: stance is visually appealing from certain angles.

The bad: everything else.

In another ten years you'll get bored with driving overweight go-carts. No way of driving that thing without always keeping an eye on the oil pressure gauge. That blows. At least throw on a skid plate. I've built and daily driven two rides that would lay frame. Crazy negative camber...when parked. The point is that driving this low is stupidity. Heard of air bags? No, the kind that allow adjustable ride height. Get some. Cheaper than spending a grand replacing the front hubs and tires every month.

Other than the stance everything else is boring or beat, especially the interior. One shot of the motor and it's a close-up. Bet it's all hacked, dirty and nasty. 300hp with twin turbos? I'll nearly double that with one and using a BMW motor, not some Jap scrap. What about the audio system? Anything? Blah. At least shave those hideous federalization markers that look like something you picked up from the truck stop.

Nice try, but definitely lacking. I was expecting so much more from the makers of Rusty...

I have never ever heard of airbags, and I cry myself to sleep every night over my non-shaved sidemarkers. Do some more research on the motor before you open your mouth, and an audio system? What the fuck    I'm not trying to win nopi.

Nice try, but ditch the holier than thou attitude. I am 20 years old and simply building something I think is cool with the limited funds I have. I realize its not the "nicest" e28 out there, but I also never claimed it was. I know one thing though, I enjoy mine more than you enjoy yours ;)

Dislike. I know you think "being different" is what it's all about but you need to accept that your radical transformation will get mixed reviews. This is a forum of mostly purists that own these cars because they love the way was built, and use it the way it was intended to be used. If you post up pictures of your car expect negitive and positive criticism. To each is his own, if you like your car stupid low and to handle like shit have at it just don't get pissed when others don't care for it.

That jap motor is a slap in the face, BMW used to make 1200hp out of turbo'd m10's back in the day with their F1 cars on production blocks.

Moose: But I thought it was supposed "to be the cleanest, best executed E28 around."??? The author of that article is sadly mistaken. Given the photos and the description your car is neither clean nor well executed, much less the best E28 around.

Thank you for confirming my assumption that you were a tender little boy whose easily butt-hurt when bad men say mean things about your nice car. Why don't you do some research and you'll find dozens of E28's on this board that will put your sorry piece of junk to shame. I'm not impressed in the least, especially since you didn't even have the fortitude to build it yourself. Changing the air filter doesn't count.

I'm certain you can't back up your tough talk. Lucky for you we'll unfortunately never find out. Given your poor attitude, you could use an adjustment.

Jeremy is a good guy, I'm no stanceworks fan by far, but he doesn't act arrogant about his car. I would have stayed in the same brand engine wise but I can't imagine you could get the power from an m20b27 for the same price as the 1jz that is in there.

Do you have any pics of the actually swap of the 1jz? I"d be curious to see how you gots got around some of the "issues" I would imagine you would encounter tackling such a swap. I see no reason to bash this car, you guys are doing things different. Most people on here want to see the same bs done to the car with the same parts, and they put performance oriented parts and don't do shit with there cars. Keep on guys, it's people like you that let other car enthusiasts respect the e28 name.

I'm definitely no purist. My car speaks for itself. The issue here is a car that definitely does not live up to the hype and an owner who has shown himself (at least on this thread) to be an ignorant boy hiding behind a computer screen. He obviously doesn't like hearing the opinions of those with greater experience than himself despite having opened his car to criticism.

What a bunch of curmudgeonly idiots you lot are. I cannot understand why you bother berating people who share your interests. You know, there aren't THAT many E28 enthusiasts out there.

And hey, moar low doesn't necessarily float my boat, but if I saw it in a parking lot, I'd say hello to the guy.

You obviously haven't read the horseshit in the article linked on the first page. I've made my comments good/bad regarding the car then the little prick wants to get uppity. Whatever, another slammed bimmer with stretched tires. Nothing special. Have fun changing those oil pans.

I think its a cool car AND I think that Moose hasn't done or said anything to provoke the treatment by some people that he has received. Sure bash his car and say whatever you want but do it in a humane, non-incendiary way...sometimes people just treat each other like trash on here!

Just because you don't have the same style doesn't mean its okay to talk down to someone else because they are a "youngster" or they didn't build it completely themselves.

We are talking about an article on a website on the internet...go worry about something else guys!! There's much bigger problems in this world than Moose busting his oil pan and your opinion of his character that you have seen through an infinitely small window - his posts on this forum.

P.S. - More details of the motor swap would be awesome too! Im curious to see how that all went down and knowing you guys theres probably some pics.

You do realize no one in here was talking shit or acting high and mighty right? So an article was written about Jeremy's car on a site you don't like, and it happens to say his car is the best... So what? Some people (Me) think it's true. His car is by far the best looking E28 I've ever seen, and it's also a great interior and engine swap.

You're parading around this thread talking down to people when in reality, bud, no one started any drama. It was all you.

Sorry, but you really are acting like a child. Go back and re-read the thread and you'll see everyone was having a great discussion about a controversial car until you came in and decided you were "boss hog".

I'm not here to talk shit or point fingers, but I sincerely hope that from one E28 lover to another, you go back and realize you really are being quite a dick.

Some people like Jeremy's car and really do think it's one of the best out there, and for good reason. So you don't like it, that's totally cool. No one is forcing it down your throat. No one even asked you to like it.

If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were jealous.
But that would never happen. ;)

Best of luck to you and your E28, I hope you come around.

Close minded, judgmental people ruin all the fun!

The 1JZ engine is a huge improvement over any naturally aspirated m30! Probably has a 6 speed manual behind it. another huge improvement. At 300rwhp it'll give OEM reliability and drivability! Why anyone thinks that's a negative is beyond me!

The "stance" fad doesn't bother me. It's a cosmetic mod that is all about looks. You don't have to like it but why express such negative comments. It doesn't ruin the car for the Owner. You don't drive his car so why do you care so much. Most e28s are just shitbox daily driver's. Even the best e28 is barely worth 10k$. They are not collectible and are a good base for creative expression. Cosmetic fads come and go and if you have been around long enough you have seen "stance" come and go a few times already.

Almost none of the current stance guys were even alive when it last was a fad. It's just not that big a deal.

Dwarf (Mike): How noble of you to stand up for your buddy and the car you helped build. That's to be expected. I respect and enjoy seeing modified cars with personality. You don't know me and I don't know you nor the owner of this E28. My offense is toward the ridiculous statements made in the poorly written article and the owners' attitude when I come along and point out the numerous faults is see with his ride. I would not have even posted where it not for the high expectations I had going in. I expressed my disappointment and opinion. Get over it. You and your crew have some skills. I've commented to this effect in the past, but don't expect me to STFU when I see a car hyped to this level only to observe another copy of a worn fad only moderately well executed. Even the motor swap doesn't bother me, but the fact there's only one close-up photo under the hood is revealing. Perhaps my standards are higher than yours and others? It's not hard making a car look good from 20 feet away. It's the details that impress me. If your buddy posted some pics of his ride and simply stated "hey, check out my cool E28..." I wouldn't have bothered posting, but the car doesn't stand scrutiny and the owner has shown his ass. I'm ok with being an asshole. I tell it like I see it and if I offend some tender-hearts, so be it.

Todd: Closed minded? Judgmental? The pot calling the kettle black? Recall a few years back the comments yourself and others made about the Ta'Hoe? That ride had extreme flavor (and numerous articles, cover shots and best of show trophies to back up the hype) and you still chose to attack my character and that of my friends despite not knowing a damn thing about me, you just didn't like my car. This criticism I've given here at least came from a position of experience in the genre rather than ignorance. Having a son the same age as this moose-boy, and seeing his ride and childish comments makes me chuckle and shake my head.

I think its a cool car judging from the sig pic. Abstract engineswaps don't bother me nor do big wheels. But I think its a nice car especially for a dd. Because I have family needs it wouldn't be for me but single people... why not?

What do I know I'm just a measely m20 owner.

Murfinator,

I had not made any childish, nor immature comments till you entered the thread with your attacks. Even after that, I maintained my composure just fine all things considered, and I did not even make this thread  . You are delusional.

To all those with legitimate questions about the swap and the process, I unfortunately didn't get any real documentation on it going in the car. If you had any specific questions there, more than happy to answer them.

Looks amazing to me. Wheels match perfectly. I visualized these wheels on mine when Marzano had them in his possession. Getting them to fit would have been nuts, and I'm very glad not only to see these wheels put to great use, but also to see you pulled it off perfectly. Would love to see it in person!
