Parts?

Post by jimbobharper »

Hello Board!

I am the proud new owner of a 1986 524td. While it runs beautifully, I am in need of parts.

Specifically, I was hoping to find a stock stereo with the wiring harness, functioning instrument cluster, cigarette lighter apparatus, hood (bonnet) brace, relays, and much more.

If you are interested in selling parts, please contact me.

Thanks!

Contact "Parts Dept" here on the board. Shoot him an email with the part numbers you need (get the part numbers from realoem.com or bmwfans.info). He works at a BMW dealership and gives great prices to fellow members of MyE28.com

Congrats and welcome to the td club!

What's the car's mileage? How much did you pay for it?

Thanks! I'm really excited to be a part of the club.

I've always wanted a BMW diesel and this one fell into my lap.

The odometer has stopped working, but it was at around 167,000. I was fortunate enough to pay only $750 for the whole deal.

Also, thanks for the parts tip. I really could use some help.

Make sure you change your timing belt if you don't know the mileage/age on it. Search the archives if you need info on how to do this job; it's covered pretty well. If the belt breaks, the engine is toast.
