plug and play megasquirt

Post by jim325 »

Anybody building plug and play megasquirt for the e28 535i motors?

I have read that Peter Florance does them, not sure if he still does. Also not sure of his screen name on the forums(if he has one). I searched in the memberlist for Peter Florance but did not see it.

If I was to have somebody build me one what kinds of things am I going to need to get that aren't built into megasquirt already? Coils?Temp Sensor?Throttle Position Sensor?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Peter Florence is "FirstFives Dictator"

He will build you a system that works.

If you're considering having Peter do a system (I'd highly recommend it) you might want to go the extra distance and have him build a new harness at the same time. It's worth every penny.

Yeh. I was woundering about that myself. I'd like to make this part of the build as painless for myself as possible so it's likley ill have him do as much as he is willing to do till I get what I was originally after.

It's nice to hear good things about his work. Makes me worry a lot less.

I'm having Peter build me a system and give me a base tune. He said he'd help me tune it and get it up and running. He's definetly a good guy.

I decided id hold off on the new wiring harness and ill just use the super eta harness I bought a while back and wire that in to the megasquirt. I'm sure if I have any questions Peter will help me thru it.

I have an adapter board built (fixed!) by peter, if you're interested. It's the model from DIY autotune. http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/bmw- ... 5a0941e342
