Was thinking the same thing... there's a 100k mile example for sale in my area and it's super clean inside and out. The car in the blog article looks more like my 320k mile daily driver. But my engine bay is much cleanercool article! Are those engine bay pics the same car? Its really dirty and weathered looking for a 12k car.

Not bothered by the interior one bit. It's just a bit "dated" (as expected) when compared to modern vehicles. There is nothing wrong with that.MShimon wrote:Just came across this article today. That is awesome! I look forward to reading it. I have been threatening to buy an E28 M5 for many, many years. I got my 1988 M6 because I posted a "Want To Buy" ad looking for a 1988 M5 or 1988 M6. The M6 is an incredible car. I want to put an M5 in the garage next to it, but the thought of having two S38 engines in one garage gives me pause... My dad,after WWII at the age of 16, worked for a construction company that was responsible for the reparations and reconstruction of the plant. He never was able to afford one, nor had been in one.
I recently purchased an M5, my first BMW. You should have seen the smiles on our faces after 4K rpm's. Priceless
