Td powered land speed record

Post by Wierd Al »

Hello

I took my 2.4Td powered e30 iC down to Maxton NC for the East Coast Timing association meet at the Maxton Mile. Set the record for F class AFX4 (alternative fuel experimental) 2 to 3 liters. Embarrassingly slow 107 mph but it was hot and humid. Hopefully someone will come along and beat that and give me some motivation to develop the car. For comparison my 2.5 V6 Alfa roadster will do 115mph at the same course in July. I honestly would like to see 130 out of this car but will be late next year before I can try again.

You need to check out what Dieselboost has done to his. I think you could get some serious speed out of it.

Correction, you need to check out what Dieselboost has not done to his. ;) He's got all the bases covered as far as mods go.

Congrats Al.

I'd start with an EGR delete and an intercooler. Then maybe it'd be time to screw with the injection pump.
